2year old ds keeps taking diaper off
He is constantly ripping his diaper off, in bed, around the house, wherever. I don't think he is ready to potty traib, he seems uninterested and he doesn't talk much yet. He just likes to play with himself. Does anyone have any suggestions on anything? I am tired of cleaning pee off thecarpet and changing his sheets cconstantly

What kind of diapers are you using? If you haven't already tried them, try the ones from huggies that you pull up.

Does he do it when his clothes are on? My 20 month old DS will do it if I take off his pants but, otherwise, he will leave it on - kind of out of sight, out of mind.

What about a onesie with pants over? I never leave DD without pants because she will undo her diaper if I do.

I would try pull ups. I went to get my DS from a nap one day and he handed me his diaper. pants in one hand diaper in the other. We switched to pull ups. Now he thing he is in Big Boy undies.
He also told me "no no more...." I said no more diapers and he said "no no more."

My friend's son was doing this at night so she switched to one-piece footie pjs and that helped. Not sure about during the day, maybe a onesie like the PP suggested. Hopefully it's just a phase!

Thanks everyone! I think I am going to try potty training. He knows how to take all of his clothing off, even feetie pjs. That worked for a little while. He can undo the snaps on the onsie and he can pull his diaper down. He is my little pain in the butt, lol

My DS does this too. I put the diaper on backwards and put a onesie on him so he can't rip his clothes off. It works!!!

If it becomes a problem at night you can put pjs on with the zipper in the back. A friend's DS was taking his diaper off during nap time and smearing poop! This worked for them. If the pjs have feet cut them off. Hopefully it's just a phase!
