Did Anyone Decide as soon as they were
Pregnant that they were going to have a C-section?
Will your doctor allow this?
If you had a C-section, was it really tough?

I'd be surprised if you would be able to find a doctor that would agree to that unless there was a medical condition.

Re: Did Anyone Decide as soon as they were
I dont want a c-section, but, if I have to, I have to. If im like my mom and sister, chances are, I may have one..they both did. My sister had it, was very sore and in the hospital for 5 days (which she didnt mind, she was "catered" to as she puts it). I think I want to have my baby and come home.

Re: Did Anyone Decide as soon as they were
I am preparing myself for the possibility, but I would not choose to have one.
I know there are doctors (though none I know of) who do let women choose c-sections (I saw an article about it, though I forget where). I remember reading an article about Angie Harmon (from Law & Order) and she had both her kids by c-section, by choice.

Actually just the opposite. I really don't want one at all. I have a feeling b/c of the twins I will end up with one though.

Re: Did Anyone Decide as soon as they were
Having one was my worst fear, and I ended up with one. I wouldn't have chosen to have one.

I would not choose to have one. I had one and the recovery is very tough.

Re: Did Anyone Decide as soon as they were
I am not sure that many ( if any ) doctors will allow for a planned C-section unless there was an underlying medical reason for it.............

Re: Did Anyone Decide as soon as they were
I had one and it was my biggest fear that I would need one. Its been almost a month and I am still very sore. Recovery was ROUGH and even though pushing wasnt much fun, I wish I could have her her vaginally.

Re: Did Anyone Decide as soon as they were
A friend of mine is not even pg but her ob/gyn has told her that her pelvis is too narrow. Other than that, I don't know anyone who has been able to request it. From what I hear, they are painful to recover from.

Re: Did Anyone Decide as soon as they were
I thought about it breifly with my first and then never thought of it again unless there was an emergency. After having a Vaginal birth I would opt for that over surgery.
