Two colds in one month?
Seriously? I guess it's nursery school initiation. DD got a cold right after Halloween. She had about one week off and now it seems she's come down with another one. Ugh! Is this typical for the first year of school? DD is almost 3. I'll have a NB late Dec/early Jan--dreading this very sick winter.

Re: Two colds in one month?
My DS is also 3 and is in Nursery. I am due with DD in January and am also dreading the winter season given that he has had a cold on and off since the start of school!!
The last one he had about 2 weeks ago was the worst one so far - stuffy, coughing, sneezing. He's still congested from it.
The others weren't as bad - runny noses.
I just keep making sure he takes his vitamins and eats lots of fruit.
I heard the first year they are in a public setting like daycare or school that they will get sick every other week!!!

Re: Two colds in one month?
Anthony was literally sick twice since birth, until he got to nursery school. We are now on cold #3 since September and this time it's accompanied by pink eye. I'm not looking forward to this winter, either!!!

Re: Two colds in one month?
It's crazy! She has gotten colds in the winter, but usually not until Jan or so. She's never been on antibiotics, but I suppose that will probably change soon. I'm hoping this one is a mild one.
Do you keep them home with a cold? I never know what to do. I kept her home one day with the last one (only goes 2x a week) when she was super runny. She usually acts fine. If I keep her home with every single cold, she'll never be in school! I guess I'll see how runny she is by Tues.

It depends how he is. If he's oozing boogies and coughing a lot and has a fever, he definitely stays home. If his nose is a little runny and he feels fine, I send him. He now has a bad cough and pink eye, so I'll most likely keep him home on Tuesday unless it miraculously goes away by then. It's such a hard call to make!

I never keep my DS home for a cold. If I did he would always be out. Fever poops etc. only

Two colds in one month?
Dd has been sick since the 2nd week of daycare. She has a cough that won't go away. I call it the never ending daycare cold.
