Weather in January?
Thinking about an Eastern cruise in January. I know Florida will be cold for the beach but how is Puerto Rico and St. Thomas?

Weather in January?
I did the Southern Cruise in Feb one year and we stopped in PR and St Thomas. It was cool but, we did go to the beach in St Thomas.
We got better beach weather though farther south - in St Lucia and Barbados.

I've been to Puerto Rico in Jan. It was warm and we could go swimming but it did rain quite a bit

Re: Weather in January?
I have done 2 cruises, one eastern Caribbean and one western Caribbean. Both in January. The first one, eastern, was fine for weather. The second, western, was fine too. Except we had to skip one port because it was too rough. So we lost a whole day on land. And then our excursions were cancelled because of wind and rough water. And DH was seasick 6 of the 7 nights and I was sick like 3 nights. It pretty much sucked. Im not sure what was going on because the days were sunny and warm, but it was SO windy on the ship they had to close the outside a couple of the days. And the waves were gigantic. So Im not sure I would recommend that time of year to someone else. But then again my first cruise the same time of year was fine. we did PR and St. Thomas on that one and it was beautiful weather.
