Day care staff to child ratios?
Are ratios the same whether its a corporate day care (Tutor Time) or an in home day care?
I used to work In a corporate day care, so I know what our ratios used to be. Now DS goes to an in home day care and every time I pick him up the staff to child ratio is NOT what I had to abide by. Are in home day care ratios different??

Are they licensed? That makes a big difference.

The ratio increases with age. Is that why it's different? Is your dc in the next age bracket? At daycare (licensed), it's 4:1 then goes to 6:1 at 18 or 24 mos. (I can't remember which)

Day care staff to child ratios?
It was my understanding that the ratios are determined by state - so they should be the same. But if its not a licensed in home daycare center they can do whatever they want

Ratios in a licensed family home vs a licensed, group family daycare and a licensed center are all different. You can check the ratios for the type of daycare your child attend here or you can always call nysocfs.
