Feeling so guilty

My cousin just announced that the pregnancy that she announced 2 weeks ago didn't progress (she JUST went to the doc now, which means she announced basically right after getting a BFP on a HPT). I feel terrible for her and called her immediately just to say that I know what she's going through and that when and if she needed to talk that I am around. But, at the same time, there's a little part of me that feels relieved that someone else in the huge group of announcements is experiencing this... Is that terrible???

Not terrible. Well, if it is then I'm guilty of this too sometimes.

I really do feel bad for her, however, this is exactly why you do not announce before 12 weeks. I called her immediately to say how sorry I was and to tell her that I had 2 this summer and that I am here for her. I just feel a little relieved that someone else who got preggo recently is experiencing this.

Yeah I hear you. I wish I knew someone IRL going through my situation but I don't. Most of my friends and family get pregnant without really trying. I think people IRL would be shocked to know what I have been through. I cringe at every facebook announcement and try not to show how sad I am when friends and family announce. I want to be happy but I am so sad for myself.

Don't beat yourself up. Your emotions are real and you can't just turn them off. So no you are not terrible.

don't feel so bad, we all secretly feel like this but not all of us vocalize it. your not a terrible person.

I always felt relief hearing others have been through what we all have.. Not that I wish bad luck on anyone.... But at least you know you are not alone..

I agree with the other ladies. Outside of this board, IF is never addressed publicly. No one wants to talk about it. You feel so alone out there with everyone you know having babies and we are STUCK in this reality. So far all of the girls I planned weddings with are pregnant and I am the oldest one. I hate feeling jealous. It is not who I am. You just have to remind yourself that these are normal, human emotions and you too will have your moment eventually.
The more time passes by, the more I am thinking I will not be able to have more kids. Acceptance is the hardest thing!

aw Jess don't feel bad, it happens. My cousin just told me she is pregnant. I was so jealous, I felt so bad about it. She's only been trying for 6 months.

I know exactly what you mean.... Everyone and their mother seems to be getting PG right now with no issues so when I miscarried I couldn't help but think "why me and not 'so and so"....which is horrible.....but I also think it is normal. Atleast you put it out there that if she wanted to talk you were there for her.... we all know how much it helps to have someone else to talk to while going through it....

Yeah, I also sent her an email with attachments of the two most recent blogs I wrote about my experience... just so that she knows that all her feelings are totally normal and justified... and some info I've dug up on the family and miscarriages.

I just went on Facebook and all of a sudden there are all these pregnancy announcements and sonogram pictures! I am really going to try to stay off of there and focus on myself…
