Austrailia???
I know Im reaching but are there any Aussie's on here or those that have been to Uluru/Ayers Rock and Adeile City??
I am reading thru trip advisor for information but thought I would put it out on here

I am not an aussie and its been 16 years but I went to Ayers rock and it was AWESOME!!! did the sunset and the sunrise...amazing.

I lived in Australia for about 5 years and my husband is Australian. However, I've never been to Uluru (You might want to search Uluru in addition to Ayers Rock; it's the Aboriginal name).
It might be easier to stay in Alice Springs b/c there is more of a choice there/ I wouldn't spend more than 2-3 days there. It's in the middle of nowhere. Make sure you do an Aboriginal tour to learn about the local people.

We stayed at a local camp site as we were traveling around in a camper van. Not sure what other accomodation they have there but that could be an option for you.
