Level 2 Ultrasound?
just was doing a little reading and I saw 2 different things on this test.
One side said it's a routine test and the other said it's because something was "off" in the NT scan.
My doc told me everything was fine along with the genetic counselor.
What gives?

Some doctors do it routinely. Don't worry.

It is routine for my doctor. Its considered the anatomy scan.

a level two is also called an anatomy scan - its pretty common for doctors to do those between 18-22 weeks
or is your doctor requesting something different/sooner?

no I'd be getting it done at 20 weeks and Madonna will be doing it as opposed to my doc (they had asked me if they could do this test and when I asked my doc he said yes)

Mine was done at 20 weeks not at my dr. I went to north shore hospital for it. It's routine.

seems totally normal - i had to go to the hospital for my anatomy scan with DD and i just scheduled one for this pregnancy too
i actually think it is rare for someone to NOT have this done nowadays

The Level 2 is routine. This is where they measure all of the baby's body parts and check all of the organs.

Yup, mine was routine. We did it at 21 weeks.

We had ours at 20 weeks both times at the Drs office and this is the one where you can find out the gender if you want too!!! :)
