when is your last day of work?

if one more family member asks why i'm still working and why am i not home resting.!!!!

obviously i'd rather relax at home and get ready for baby's arrival... but i'm planning on working til the very end.

what abt u guys? taking any time off before LO's arrivql?

I am going to try and keep working up until DD decides to come out

With DS I went out about 2 weeks before and it just took away from my time with him afterwards.

I want all the time off after she arrives - especailly having to adjust our lives with 2 kids!

I plan on working up until my due date - maybe a few days past if he/she comes late and I feel up to it. I will only get paid for 31.5 days so I need to SAVE all my days!

with dd i worked until a week before my due date - only bc DH didnt want me to work anymore. he was paranoid something would happen while i was working and he wouldnt get to me in time etc.
with dc2, i am choosing to work until the week before (possibly 2 weeks before) my due date depending how i feel. my commute is going to be over an hour (probably an hour and a half each way driving) so i dont want to be that far away when LO is due. plus i would like to spend some extra time with DD before the new baby arrives

This time I work freelance from home, so it's a bit different. I'll probably stop taking on new work mid-December (due 12/30), so I don't get caught up in a project I can't deliver on. But if I'm uncomfortable, I can work in bed. I'm probably only taking a month off after baby and will start slowly taking on work again.

With DD1, I worked until 39w. The day before Xmas eve was my last day and I was due the 29th. She ended up being 9 days late. Honestly, I was so darn bored at home. If I didn't have to commute over an hour into the city each way, I would've kept going (despite everyone's insistence that I stay home).

My last day was 10/25, my due date was 11/2, and I'm still not a mommy yet!! I could have easily worked for 1 more week and kinda pissed I didn't. I was just so scared of going into labor at work or while driving.

I sit at a desk all day and I know now I would have been fine! I think it also depends what you do for work.

With DD I worked until two days after my due date with no issues, but I work close to home and my job is not very physically demanding.

It certainly can be done if your circumstances allow for it, and you'll be glad to have the extra time off after the baby is born.

I started working from home about 2 weeks prior to due date since i was already dilated and effaced and had a 2 hour commute each way.

Had I not known about being dilated I would have worked until a week prior and would have worked from home the last week.

I plan on working till the day I give birth. I need all my days for after they come.

I took 14 weeks off .. the last two weeks before my due date and then 12 weeks for maternity leave. My water broke a day after my due date so I had the full 12 weeks with her. The last two weeks I was just so done with commuting and working.

I am due 11/15 and I am hoping my last day will be 11/13. With DD I actually worked past my due date but that is not happening this time around.

I am so done and still have 5 weeks until my c section date (12/12) I only work part time, but my last day is 11/27. I don't want to come in the first week of December because I want to make sure I have everything ready for Christmas in my house and for my son. And I also want to enjoy my last few days with my son

with DD i stopped working at 38 weeks thinking she might come early but came on her due date...

This time i'll work up to the friday before my due date so 39 w 2 d

I am due 1.20. I took off the last two weeks of the year then i will start to work from home 2-3 days per week until i deliver

im dues in 2 days and i am still working. I plan on working till i am in labor.

I did the same for my 1st though i had to be induced on my due date.

I'm lucky...my job gives us 4 weeks before due date off paid
