some silly new mom questions about toddler bundle me
My one year old is hating wearing his winter jacket in the car seat...I was thinking of doing the toddler bundle me for the city mini. My stupid question is... does your child wear a jacket anyway? I'm thinking how will I get him from the house to the car when it's freezing out? I had the bundle me for when he was an infant.. that was easy because it just stayed on the in the infant carrier. So how would you deal with the toddler one?

dd is 9 months and i put her in a jacket and the bundle me in the city mini
she doesnt like having it closed all the way so having the jacket helps.

I'm new to the toddler thing too, and I just ordered my bundle me. But aren't you still not supposed to put them in a jacket in the car seat? I thought I heard that. I plan on just using a blanket to carry her to the car, until I figure something else out.
Eta: I remember reading to unzip the jacket, then the straps can fit properly

This.
DS wears a sweatshirt in the car and then I transfer him into the CityMini that has the BundleMe. When we are going on walks, he's just in a sweatshirt and in the CityMini and he's fine.

I put my DS' winter coat on backwards, so once I put him in his carseat, I just pull it off and buckle him in.

I'm not sure if you are asking about a jacket in the carseat or Bundle Me in carseat, but either one are major no's. A jacket interferes with the safety of a carseat. The Bundle Me interferes with the safety of the carseat straps. If you google "wearing a jacket with carseat" you can find plenty of evidence. I think thin fleeces are recommended, as well as what previous

Oops didn't mean to hit send...poster said about wearing jacket backwards. Lastly, they sell these carseat poncho things where you secure the child then put the poncho over the straps.
There is a carseat expert on here. It is his job to install carseats. His name is Carseat Chris if you have any questions. Good luck!

I think the car seat covers are useful for the carriers but I don't see the point for having them on a car seat that stays in the car..my son would have a fit if kept him all bundled in that thing.

Actually what I was asking was if u use a toddler bundle me for the stroller aka city mini..what is your child wearing getting to the car and in the car to keep him/her warm.
