Gift Help: Tablet for a 6 yo Girl

Need some help picking out a tablet for a 6 year old girl (I have a 4yo boy). The budget is $200. I would appreciate any and all suggestions and info about likes/dislikes.

i would go with a just a regular tablet and not a kid one. My only gripe with non apple tablets is that they dont offer everything that Itunes have and some of there apps are different between what you get on apple then you do on android.

i got the nexus 7 and ipad my plan was to let my 3 yo use the nexus to watch nick and disney shows that i would pay to download while i dont know if its just the google play store or all android tablets they dont offer any nick or disney jr shows to pay to download

We have the kindle fire HD. I have no complaints about it. And actually I recommend it to all my friends with kids if for no other reason than its durability. My 2yo uses is alot and he has thrown it, dropped on to cement, etc. It has one VERY small scratch on the screen and doenst have any otterbox type case on it. Just a light notebook type case.

As far as apps, my DS1 (nearly 6yo) never has any issues finding apps he wants! LOL. ANd he likes when we borrow books from the library.

I also second the Kindle Fire. It's a great tablet they can grow with. Great for games and reading. You could also look into a refurbished ipad mini. I do like that it is very easy to use the ipad, but you can;t beat the kindle if you are on a budget.
