my throat is killing me
Is there anything I can take? I'm in so much pain I dunno what to do. I feel like going to the Dr is pointless, I'm pretty sure it's not strep or anything. Dd is sick too, taking her to Dr this afternoon, I'm sure I have whatever she has.

my dr wouldnt give me anything when i was sick..
I gargled with salt water 5 times a day maybe more.. that helped a little.
hot tea with honey
water with lemon..
Feel better!!!

I do steam in the morning to get any mucus out. Tea with honey.

I did tea with honey, just made me nauseous. Luckily I don't have any mucous, just a really sore throat. Been popping halls like crazy, that helps a tiny bit. Guess I just gotta deal with it. Thanks for the responses!

gargling with salt water helps a lot. Don't put too much salt though because it can irate the throat.

You can take Tylenol and use cough drops. Just make sure they aren't the sugar free cough drops since those have artificial sweeteners.

Gargle with Listerine several times a day, floss, salt water.

I was told not to eat honey unless it is cooked because honey is not pasteurized. Try gargling with salt water and tea with lemon.

This is a misnomer. Pregnant women can have honey as long as it's pasteurized.

This is a misnomer. Pregnant women can have honey as long as it's pasteurized.
IF it is pasteurized then yes you can have it BUT most honey is not pasteurized.
