Help-flying with 1 & 4 yo by myself

One layover, we're going to nm to visit family.

I picked up some new small toys. My 19 mo old is a ball of energy. Any tips for keeping him somewhat content?

TY!

Do you have a DVD player? Or any game systems? Also bring lots of snacks, crayons, stickers, coloring books, paper, etc...

Yes I do! I have to find it! Someone mentioned bringing a roll of masking tape or painters tape too. We have 2 flight, I am going to try and keep them up for the first one and hope they sleep for the second one. The second one is when they would typically be sleeping so fingers crossed! lol

Also, let them do as much walking, playing as they want during the layover. Hopefully it will help tire them out for the second flight.

I would just bring the DVD player, and if you have time between flights, plug it into an airport outlet to re-charge it. I don't think i would bring tape for them to play with to be honest.

I agree about the tape. Not sure what they would do with it anyway Chat Icon But my guess is it will not be pleasant for people sitting around you. Whatever you do, make sure the DVD player has earphones and that any other toys are quiet. No one wants to hear someone else's movie playing or beeping toys going off while stuck in a metal tube. Have a safe flight and wonderful trip!

OMG tape keeps my kids busy!! They just stick it on paper nothing crazy. I probably wont bring it though I always have an overstuffed diaper bag and am trying to minimize. Kids have headphones too. I might bring ear plugs for myself Chat Icon
