Introducing our Little girl
Kaitlyn Faith was born on 11/1/13 at 5:27 7lbs 11oz and 19 3/4 inches!!!
I was induced on 10/30/23 at 6:30 with cervadil. Was a fingertip dilated and 70% effaced. At 8:30 the next morning I was a 1 and 80%. Doctor start pitocin and at 6pm was a 4 and got an epidural and doctor broke my water, progressed well after that. Started pushing at midnight and after pushing for 4 1/2 hours (insane!!!) doctor was able to see her head and it was "right there" but I couldn't get her to crown matter how hard I pushed. Ended up having a csection at about 5am started the prep and our DD was born at 5:27am in perfect health with apgars of 9 and 10!!!
She's doing fantastic. Were having some difficulties breast feeding, she doesn't like latching, but has managed to do 2 good Feedings then get drops here and there. It's tough like now when my husband isn't here because I any get up yet without help so every time I need to feed her or go to te bathroom etc I have to call the nurses. Recovery from the csection is starting out rough but I know it will get better day by day and seeing her, holding her, loving on her, just being with her makes it all worthwhile. It's true what they say about forgetting about the delivery etc and is all worth it. It truly is love at first sight, love while they are growing inside of you. A true miracle!

Congratulations! She is a cutie! Sounds like you are doing great. Give the recovery time and definitely get help from the nurses. That is why they are there. Csections are tough in the beginning but it gets easier pretty quickly. The latching takes time and practice. Try to get a lactation consultant to come help you and also go to any and all classes. I had latching issues with my DS. I had gone to a class during my stay and right before we checked out I had issues so I decided to go to one more class before I left.
