Dd is 8.5 months old and tried raspberry for the first time yesterday. About two hours after eating it she had the worst poop ever! Thought nothing of it and gave them to her again today (since its new we try it for 4 days). Well the same thing happened. Should I hold off on giving more to her for a few months or try again tomorrow thinking it could just be coincidence?

Is anything else new in her diet? If not i would probably hold off. She may just have a hard time digesting it.

Does she seem uncomfortable? If so I would stop and ask the ped. If the only thing concerning is the poop, I might stop for a few days, and then try again.

Thanks all
It's the only new thing in her diet
Aside from the poop she seems fine - no other reaction at all

I'd stop for a bit.... Berries can be harsh on little stomaches so it's best to hold off on them. (Info per pediatrican)

Just FYI blueberries aren't considered in the same class as raspberries and strawberries so maybe you can try them now instead? I make apples and blend w a little blueberry which dd loved.

We gave blueberries last week and had no problems. That's why we attempted raspberries. Didn't realize they were different - thanks for letting me know bc now I'm going to avoid strawberries too!!

Our ped said if its in a food blend we can try it whenever we are comfortable...and it was actually a stage 1 pouch that I've been holding off on. But dd literally had tried everything else I could find so I decided to give it a shot

I'm gonna wait a few weeks before reintroducing them again
