13 weeks and for the past two mornings
during my commute (on the ferry) ive felt like im almost about to pass out. I get really hot and shaky and feel like I have to sit down as soon as I stand up. Then it goes away ... what do you think this is? If it happens again Im going to call the dr - but i just had an appt yesterday morning and everything looked great - BP was fine, no issues

Are you eating breakfast? It sounds like you may be hypoglycemic.

No I usually eat when I get to work. Maybe I should start bringing something small with me to have while commuting or before i leave. Thank you!

This happened to me with TT and Poo. Try to get up slow and see if that makes a differnce. If not eat a little something before you get to work

Im 11 weeks and I feel the same way. I try to eat before I leave, but I can't. My stomach is killing me and I just cant get the food down. I usually feel better after I eat at work.

Try eating something. I never used to eat before getting to the office, but when I was pregnant with DD, I had to eat pb&j on a piece of bread every morning. It was the only thing I could stomach and I had to eat something or else I felt nauseous and light headed my entire train ride.

Re: 13 weeks and for the past two mornings
I agree. Try to eat something, even if it's just toast and some tea. That's what I do every morning and I still feel like shit until I get a full breakfast at work. We're the same amount of weeks btw. I just think the second time around is much harder! Don't want to whine... k who am I kidding I do! but I feel like at 13 weeks I should be feeling much better than this

Re: 13 weeks and for the past two mornings
I used to have a cup of juice every morning before I left for work. The sugar helped. I also carried a granola bar and water with me. Standing on the subway to work every morning was NOT fun, especially when you're not showing so nobody gives you a seat!

Yes, I have experienced this. As the PPs said try to eat something small or even keep trail mix with you so you can munch on it if its too early for you to eat before leaving.

Sounds like your blood sugar is getting low or something along those lines. I agree with everyone else: eat a little something and see if that helps. I found that I would get hot flashes, dizzy, all things abnormal for me if my stomach was empty, even if I wasn't necessarily hungry. Eating something every 1.5 - 2 hours has definitely helped.

I used to experience this standing on the subway for 45 minutes every morning...have you tried prego pops? they helped me...or even any kind of sucking candy. i also made lemon water every morning and sipped on it throughout my ride and it was so helpful! feel better

Thank you all so much! I think youre all right about eating because as soon as I eat at work I feel totally normal. I'll have to make sure I eat before I leave - its a scary feeling while commuting alone.

I get this way in stores a lot. I feel warm, lightheaded, shaky. And I have GD so it's not Low Blood Sugar. Fresh air and ice cold water generally helps.

Re: 13 weeks and for the past two mornings
Yup, happened to me a lot in the beginning. I has hypoglycemic before I was pregnant, so it got worse one I was pregnant. In the beginning, I couldn't go more than about 90 minutes without eating. It leveled out, but it was rough in the beginning. Maybe sure to have a snack with you at all times. I also carry those glucose tablets with me in my purse for an emergency.

Re: 13 weeks and for the past two mornings
Try eating something light for breakfast and keeping a snack with some sugar in your bag when you are on the ferry. This happened to me throughout my pregnancy with my second daughter. Granola bar, protein bar of a piece of fruit or candy is good to keep in your bag when you feel it coming on.

Re: 13 weeks and for the past two mornings
Ugh..i hear ya! I'm only 7 1/2 weeks preggers with twins and I feel this way every morning. Keep juice by your bed and sip it before you get up. I give myself a good 15 minutes to slowly sit up before I get out of bed. Get some sugar in you as soon as you wake up.

I also had a hard time eating before I left in the morning and would get shaky. I started making myself a smoothie in the morning and it def helped!
