Do I have an anterior placenta?
Hi ladies,
I'm a little confused. Last week, I had a sonogram and was told that the placenta was "high" by one doctor. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it being anterior? Then today my doctor said my placenta was "a little in the front" so it might cushion some of the kicks. Does this mean I have an anterior placenta? Wouldn't they have mentioned this at my 12 wk sono or no? TIA!

Do I have an anterior placenta?
If your placenta is in the front than yes its an anterior placenta. They didn't mention it to me until I was at my 19 weeks sono and mentioned that I don't feel her that much.

It sounds like it. No one mentioned it to me either. I saw the tech type in "anterior" as she was doing my 12w sonogram. Then at an appointment I asked the doctor.
