Off season in Montauk: Gurneys or Montauk Yacht Club?
Which one would you pick? DH are planning to spend one night in Montauk in Nov for our anniversary/babymoon (before no. 2 arrives). We know there isn't much going on there this time of year but we're just looking for some much needed R&R. I was at Gurneys 9 years ago. I think they've done some renovations since, but Yacht Club seems nicer. Thoughts?

I would go with Montauk Yacht Club over Gurneys. Gurneys location is nice but I felt for the price that the rooms could really use some updating. The room we were in had a beautiful view but it was very 1970s looking. I haven't stayed at the Montauk Yacht Club but have heard from others that it is very nice, especially off season.

Montauk Yacht Club, just spent Columbus Day Weekend there and it was great. Barn fires every night are so fun!
