my second opinion ;)
Dr. John Stangel- he's up in westchester and is part of the RMA .. They have a few offices. Manhattan garden city westchester etc
Backstory: My dad and step-mom work for someone famous. I remember last summer when I first started this whole procedure, they mentioned they knew a fertility dr that's well known at their work- his son was head writer at the show. I let it go- never inquired
Fast forward to now, I called my step mom to get the drs info so I can research him etc. Well long story short dr wants me to call him on his cell phone tomorrow!!
I'm hoping since I'm in his sons circle- sort of -that he can give me a straight up honest answer as to what to do, what's been done so far etc. Is my RE doing everything he should be etc.
Feel so much better! Can't wait to talk with him and see what he says!!

I just feel these drs are like a business. Who sells the best story to get you pregnant. It's amazing how much money they make. Did you see the news article the other day about the girl saying she doesn't care if people think she's a spoiled brat and comes from money. Etc. Her dad is a fertility dr in Maryland and is loaded!!!

I kinda agreed with her. Why shld she care what ppl think abt where she came from and what she has. What she shld care abt is being this obnoxious idiot LOL
I'm glad u got a real solid lead on a good reliable 2nd opinion doc. Hopefully it will be illuminating

It's sad but true. Drs (in all fields but especially this) prey on the vulnerable. I think about this so much. That's why it takes me so long to find a dr and stick with them. If I don't feel they are genuine care givers, I get out of there. I can sense it as I walk through the door.
There's a special place in hell for those drs who prey on couples who so desperately want children.
P.S. Glad you have your 2nd opinion lined up. Hope you get some clarity

I just called him. He was so nice. I told him the gist of what was going on with me. He def wants to meet me, bring my records, any IVF notesI have about my past two cycles. I told him I have a notebook full of information. I have a good feeling about him. Im calling his office to schedule a meeting with him next week. Its up in Weschester but its so worth the second opinion travel!!

I looked them up. They don't take my insurance so I couldn't go there for a second opinion. Trying to figure out who to go to also. Also trying to figure out what to do about immune testing. I wish a RE in LI took my insurance and did immune testing.

They take my ins and considered center of excellence so I'm covered. I'm going to ask him about immune testing. He was so nice. Wants a copy of of records my notes on meds how much I was on etc.
