I didn't refuse the 12 week NT bloodwork, but I did opt to not have the AFP test, which my Dr agreed I didn't need.

My insurance didn't cover it at 11w but at 16w. I didn't do it cuz I felt like at that point what did it matter? I wouldn't terminate that far along and all other tests came back good, I'm only 27, no family history, and I have a healthy 5 year old. Plus it's so hard hitting a vein I try to avoid blood work at all cost lol

I refused the entire test. I don't think the results mean anything. I don't want %. I wanted real results so I skipped and had an amnio. Best decision I made

I refused the entire test. The first go round I had a false positive and it was weeks out of pregnancy of severe stress. Had no desire to go through that again especially since I would probably get similar results.

Exactly this word for word. My Dr said if I was having the amnio anyway the NT test was a waste. We skipped and went right to amnio. I need 100% accurate results. I would to it again in a heartbeat.

I didn't skip it bc I was young-ish and didn't want to do an amino unless I had reason to as it can cause a miscarriage.

I don't qualify based on age for an amino that's why I am confused on whether to do the blood work. I do not want an amino of I don't need one of course

In that case I would do the blood work. Then Gd forbid something comes back bad then do the amino to rule it out.
