People won't stop telling me how huge I am!

I am 22 weeks, and I popped really early, like 12 weeks. I am big for 22 weeks, for sure, but its mostly my belly and boobs. Literally, at least once a day, someone either asks me how far along I am and then says something about me having twins or says "must be a big baby!" I know they are just pointing out the obvious, but its getting old! Like, yes, I know I am huge. Thanks for pointing it out. A new teacher at my school (who is like 22 and 100 lbs) told me that I looked "round for five months" and then when I said, "yup, my midwife said me and the baby are just right" she said "you must really be taking eating for two seriously." WTF?

people are so painfully rude

fwiw, I went through a period of time around the 6 month mark where people made a ton of comments about how "huge" I was... and then a mere month or so later, I kept getting compliments about how great looked it's mind boggling really lol... I think people just have no idea.

plus perception is everything. I'm now 8 months along and yesterday I had one woman tell me how "tiny"
I looked with only 5 weeks to go and then I had this man ask if I was due tomorrow! when I told the guy no, he said "well what do u have in there, twins?!"

it's impossible to understand how people could be so bold as to make the rude comments that they make. just wanted to let you know 1) you are NOT huge 2) you are not alone and 3) people are idiots.

This happened to my sister all the time. I do not understand why people think they can say whatever they want to pregnant women! It annoys me so much. People just carry differently. You have no control over it.

Omg. I can't believe she really had the balls to say that. What an azzhole. I've never met you, but from your pic you look like a naturally skinny woman. I'm very petite and I also started showing early and I've been so nauseous that its definitely not from food. Some people just pop sooner. I'm sure you look great. My last pregnancy everybody swore I was going to have an 8 lb baby...well I only gained 15 lbs and it was all belly and boob...and my son was only 6lbs 3 oz.

I went through the same things with my first pregnancy and with this one. With my first pregnancy I had a woman ask me if I was having twins. After I told her no and that there was only one, she replied with "are you sure?"

This time around, I have twelve weeks to go and EVERYONE has been asking if I am due any day now.

I am so used it at this point. I just say, yes I know I am huge. I have huge babies. But, it is frustrating beyond belief when it is happening. Mostly from strangers.

If I really resented the comment/maker when I was pregnant and got it, I'd smile condescendingly and say "Do you REALLY think that was a good thing to say out loud--even if you thought it?"" Then they'd usually start explaining/backtracking, and I'd sort of smile and shrug, but I never told them it was ok. It wasn't.

Don't feel bad - i think people lose their filter when they talk to pregnant women. Every day I get some comment about how big I am and how I look like I am due next week as opposed to January. I usually just tell them baby and mama are healthy and that's all that matters! Sometimes i would like to say something else ha

I had this with my son and it was annoying, but I did like you and just smiled and nodded. I did have some people be pretty forward and rude so at some point I would just say. I understand I look big to you but I am right on track with one baby. Just because I am expecting doesn't mean you should comment on how big I am. It's very rude and hurtful. It felt great to stand up for myself and people backed down after that. You don't have to be rude about it, but it IS ok to let people know when they are being rude imho.
