first birthday party favor

what did you do as favors?
we plan on having mostly adults so i was leaning towards edible favors.

i didnt really want to spend $3+ on cookie favors but wasnt sure what else we could do.
anyone have any ideas?

we did these personalized candy jars for my baby shower (with all different candies) - is it cheesy for me to repeat them as favors for DD?

We didn't do favors for the adults. For the kids we had personalized age appropriate cups (sippy cups with snack bottoms for the babies, straw cups for the toddlers and water bottles for the bigger kids).

ETA I wouldn't do the same favor.

I wouldn't do the same party favor that you did already for the Christening. I don't even think you need to do favors for adults at a birthday party.
Why not get a little something for the kids going?
Another option I saw that was cute was small picture frames with pics of your DD in them. My friend had the first LO out of all the friends so there weren't any other children yet. Just 2 infants if I recall. She had pics of DD in small frames at the table for us to take home and it made cute decorations during the party.

We had cupcakes



wrapped them in cellophane and put them in a cup so guests could take them home without squishing it

We did a candy buffet for all kids & adults

I did caramel and chocolate dipped pretzel rods. We had four 10-13 month olds so I did a first crayola set for each of them.

I'm getting place card holders in her theme of jungle animals. The kind with the wire spiral that can later hold a photo. They are about $1.50 each and it is 1 per couple. For the kids, I'm also throwing something else in, not sure what, but about $5 total.

For older DS I don't even remember if I did favors for the adults. For younger DS we had a winter one-derland theme. I made hot cocoa cones for everyone.

We did a candy theme, so we did gumball machines filled w m&ms for the kids and had a candy bar for everyone.

We did personalized water bottle/snack cups for the children. Nothing for the adults.

I had elmo cookies made for the kids, they were $2 each and I myself made chocolate lollipops for everyone and had them on the dessert table.

I ordered cake pops from CakeRageNYC .. She is amazing and can do whatever you want and shes not that expensive..

I also did favors for the kids - a bag with a big coloring book, a pack of crayons, a bubble pipe set and play dough :)

For DS 1st bday party, for the adults I gave caramel popcorn drizzled with chocolate, # 1 sugar cookie and chocolate covered pretzel rods (I put it all into a bag). You def don't need to do all that. In hind sight, I probably should have just only made the chocolate covered pretzel rods. They were so easy and fast.
