Best friend in Labor gift suggestions
My best friend is in labor now with her 2nd little girl. I'll go see them tomorrow. What is a good gift to bring? She does not need any outfits or any other typical baby stuf

The things I appreciated receiving the most were:
Anything personalized for the baby
Healthy groceries/snacks for the house since I would be busy with not a lot of time to cook. If you're visiting in the hospital maybe see if there's something she'd like you to bring (sushi, greek salad, cold cut hero since some don't eat those while pregnant)
A friend of mine gave me a DSW gift card so I could pick something out for myself (big shoe fan here) since the baby would be receiving so many gifts. I loved the sentiment behind it.

When my best friend had her baby I took food to the hospital and got her a personalized gift (of course got her stuff at her shower too). I think food is the best option - especially for #2. A gift card for fresh direct or peapod would have been amazing after I had DD2.

I think a gift card would be great. That is something definitely useful.
Just ran across a handprint/footprint kit. I think this would be a really sweet gift. There's some that make ornaments or there are ones like this

I agree with the suggestions for a personalized gift! I just ordered my DS a personalized baby blanket bc I ordered a few as gifts for people and realized I wanted him to have one too and I LOVE it!

i did a gift card to a resturant i knew they ate at so she wouldnt have to worry about dinner one night she was home. Diapers and wipes because you alway need diapers and wipes and i still did get a couple of outfits though it was her 3rd child.
