down....
so I am getting af and really down. this was our last cycle before seeing an re. it's so hard for me to take this next step but i know i have to and now I just want to just move forward - now! i want to find out what's wrong. a/f will probably be here today or tomorrow and my appt is not until next thurs (10/24) for my first visit. i wish it was sooner so we could start cd 3 monitoring. do you think they will be able to do something if i see the doc cd 7-8? from your experience, if you went to see an re mid cycle what were your next steps? please advise... thanks so much...

Re: down....
You'll get blood and sono. Bring records from your obgyn. Did they do cd3 & cd21 testing already? If not, RE will do it next cycle. They will also have your DH go for SEmen analysis and schedule you for hsg to check tubes. So this cycle, you will most likely be on your own though they will be able to see if you have any follies growing and tell you when your surge is coming to give you better odds with timed intercourse.
Just think of this cycle as a new beginning. They'll do tons of testing and you'll be ready to go ahead next cycle with a protocol set.
Best of luck to you!!

Everything Phyllis said. I consulted with both my RE's mid cycle so that I could start with them with the next AF.

Re: down....
I remember when I first decided to go see a RE, I was SO nervous and just didn't know how to feel or what to expect. I forget at which point in the cycle I went - I have PCOS, so probably somewhere in the middle. I went and he ordered a full on round of testing - everything from blood work, to different kinds of sonograms, to sperm test for my husband, etc. It was really good to do because it gave us a full picture of what are the challenges we're going to deal with. Best recommendation i have is to make sure when you find this doctor you feel really comfortable with them. I love the practice I go to and trust them and that's super important.
From there, they'll recommend how to proceed.
Hang in there...It's a tough road, but the girls on here make it so much easier and we're all here to support eachother.
