Couple of Questions...

Sorry for all the posts, it's my first cycle with Clomid and just trying to understand everything.

Trying to figure out if I might have actually ovulated and if the Chat Icon we did might have been at the right time. Let me know what you think! Here's the time of events:

Tuesday AM: Doctor confirmed I have a 20mm follicle and to trigger that night.

Tuesday around 9pm: We BabyDance:

Tuesday @10pm: DH gives me trigger shot

Wednesday around 9-10pm: We Chat Icon

Later lastnight before I went to bed, I went to the bathroom (sorry for TMI), and noticed I had a mucesy discharge. I did the stretch test that I've read about and it definately stretched out over an inch.

This morning, I was totally dry.

Turns out tonight we might not be able to Chat Icon because of work things going on, so trying to see if maybe we're good to go with two previous days.

Any thoughts?

Re: Couple of Questions...

It's hard to go by CM after Chat Icon Chat Icon because it totally changes the consistency. I've haven't done clomid before, but it sounds like you did the right thing! sound to me like you guys are good, BUT, if it turned out that you had a little extra energy tonight, I'd still Chat Icon that one extra time.

Re: Couple of Questions...

You ovulate anywhere between 12-36 hours after the trigger shot, so if your on the latter end, the egg will be released this morning. Since sperm can last a few days in there, once the egg is released, they'll be there waiting. So your good!!

If you can, Try to Chat Icon one more time today. It can't hurt lol

Re: Couple of Questions...

You can't go by CM strictly. After you trigger, you ovulate approximately 40 hours later. (Not 12, like PP said. For IVF, the trigger is always given 36 hours prior to retrieval for optimal maturity, but so as to not let your body naturally O.) The only way you'd O earlier is if your body was naturally set to O, rather than Oing due to the trigger. But either way, sperm can live a long time in your body (hours up to days) so your bases seem covered. I'd BD tonight again just to be safe.

Thanks all! Hoping this cycle works out. Going in tomorrow to check if I've O'ed and then it's a waiting game from there!

Well, thanks to my awesome job...I'm still working and no end in sight. So no Chat Icon tonight. Sigh. Really hope that doesn't ruin our chance.

I'm hoping that doing it night of trigger and 24 hours after that should cover our bases. I've been feeling twitches on my sides today, so am hoping that is a sign of ovulation along with CM lastnight.

Def a sign!! I swear, I can feel every egg being released - and now I know for a fact that I never O'd in my life before treatments because I am part of the lucky ones who it hurts like heck when those eggies come down the tubes!
