Teach723, Chris was one of the first techs certified under the SafeKids program. There is no way he'd put his name on an event and allow non CPSTs to check car seats. And AAA wouldn't either. If it is still the same tech I did checks with, she is awesome.
It's a really great event, if you are there you should check it out. I am sad that I'm not on LI any more, I ended up not renewing my certification because there's nowhere for me to help out up here :(

Yes, Karen still runs the car seat! And thank you for the compliment on the overall event- my staff and I work all year on it and love putting it together

Just to check, title says 10-2, but post says 12-4. Which is it? I'm gonna ask DH to go since I'm working.

Sorry for the confusion- car seat check is 10-2 but overall event is 12-4.

I sent DH to get the infant seat checked today. They were very impressed with how well I did. They actually checked all 3 of my seats even though I only had an appointment for the infant seat. Made a few tweaks on the seats. DH said they were really nice, and helpful.
