so dd is 5 months but is 20 lbs. and over 25.5 in long. she is pretty much out of 6 month clothes and wearing 9 or 12 month clothing. the 12 months is a little big but ive been buying it so she can grow into it.

question is should i buy a 12 month snow suit or 18 month? i feel like the 18 would be way too long but i would hate for the snow suit to be too tight when the time comes.

do they run a little bigger to account for layering?

I bought one too and bought a bigger size. I'd rather it be big than small.

Re: carter's snow suits

Are you sure you definitely want a snowsuit? It's a pain to get on/off. Maybe separates with a jacket and separate bib pansy would be better?

You can try both on. I am not sure you will need a snowsuit for awhile though- It's really
to bulky for car seats. Just use bundle me.

Re: carter's snow suits

i'd buy 12 months.

my dd is thin - 20lbs... but 29.5 inches long and the 18 months of anything is still SWIMMING on her.

Re: carter's snow suits

Actually - Why do you want a snow suit?

You should never use one when transporting a child in a car seat. In act snow suits, unless you are taking the child in a stroller in the winter you do not need one.

Actually you do not even need a winter coat.

Your car has heat, the house has heat, everywhere you go has heat - the exposure to the outside is minimal at best. Dress the child like you would in the fall and use a blanket.

At least that's my reasoning for purchasing a snowsuit this year for DS. Chat Icon
