Decorations and kids
How do you decorate the house for holidays without having the kids play with, move, touch it every 5 minutes.... etc?!
I bought those cute window stickers for Halloween. I'm not a big decorator, but like to put up some cute stuff. This is the first time with the window decorations and it has become a toy for my 4 and 2 yr old. They helped me put them on the window and then since then moved them 100 times. LOL!
Usually nice decorations I keep them higher up so they can't touch. The ceramic stuff.
I like to put out Fall stuff, Hanukkah and of course some other holidays. Nothing crazy. I think sometimes it's good we don't celebrate Xmas bc my kids would re-decorate the tree the moment I turn my head.

Re: Decorations and kids
I dont put up anything of value anymore..
halloween are all decorations that if they break, i'm ok with.
I have a 4 and 3 year old and I let them do all the decorating.. They put out all the outdoor stuff- wherever they wanted.
They put all the window decals up and they taped mini pumpkins (about 25) all around the house- wherever they wanted! i have some in random spots on my walls in the living room!
I find that when THEY do the decorating, they are not inclined to move it as much or at all!
They havent touched their decorations- they like to look at them and say what a great job they did!!!!!

Re: Decorations and kids
Thanks! Now they are done with the decals. They were playing and moving it around for a while. I guess they are happy with where they're at. Either that or bored and onto the next activity. lOL
