Homeland - spoilers
anyone watch? I feel like this season is off to a slow start!!! I hope it picks up soon. Glad Brody is back but not fully following that storyline....i was just glad his daughter wasn't on last night for some reason she and that whole storyline annoy me!

Yes! We watched both Homeland and Walking Dead and I feel like I'm not enjoying Homeland as much this season. I don't like this whole thing with Brody being held captive in this weird building and the whole drug thing...it's super confusing and I just don't get it.
Also, last season I really loved Mike and Brody's wife together. Maybe they just haven't shown him yet, but Mike hasn't been around this season. I hope they didn't get rid of his character!!

I feel like they are showing how Brody and Carrie are basically hitting rock bottom, but now that we've seen it, I'm ready to move on and see some action.
I'm soooo curious about where they are going with his daughter's storyline.

same here. actually I was more interested in Carrie and CIA screwing her over storyline. Saul now being head honcho realizing that he has to do a lot bad things to get good things done is pretty awesome. So - more Saul please!
I cant stand his daughter. she is so annoying. and again she has a boyfriend - there is always a boy involved in her story line. why? so over it. it would have been nice to see her develop a friendship with a girl who is also struggling with emotional issues. but nope we get again teenage love angst

I kinda feel like they are grooming his daughter to turn into another Carrie...like when she grows up... Either that, or maybe she'll become involved in terrorism like that other woman that wound up killin herself w/ Saul's glasses. They spend way to much time on his daughter to not have it be relevant in some way...

They may have cut his character. he is on a new show, Blacklist. I liked him and hope he pops back up.

I love this show but I have to agree that this week was very slow. I was ok with the first 2 episodes. Not in love with them, but I felt it was a good start. I was looking forward to this week to see what Brody is up to and instead I just kept wishing they would go back to Carrie lol. Hope it picks up!

I am sorry that I am a bit confused. In the beginning the mercenary referred to Carrie right? something about alluding to her being the reason Brody was in Venezuela (?).
Than he kept saying forget Carrie.
what is it they is keeping Brody alive? how could they turn down a 10 million reward?!

Completely agree. I didn't totally get this until the last scene when Carrie is sitting in the corner. They're both being brought to the lowest of the lows because of drugs. Don't do drugs, kids.
Maybe a stretch but also a comparison of how terrible their lives get when they are not together, working as a team.
Does anyone believe Carrie that she understands why Saul did what he did? I don't. I think she's saying whatever they want to just get out of there but she's also afraid of what else they could do to her to shut her up.

We don't know yet how that guy knows who Carrie is. But he did say to him at one point "Do you know who so-and-so is? So do I." so it appears they have some kind of 'friend' in common that perhaps wants Brody safe and sound - and away from the CIA where he could do damage.
By the way - that building - the Tower of David - actually exists and functions like they say it does. But they're not filming in the actual building.

Oh wow, I didn't know that! I was sure they made it up 
I agree that Carrie is just saying whatever she has to say to get out of the psych ward. I don't think she agrees with what Saul did at all. And her therapist was questioning her because he knew she was full of it.
