More Disney questions... Leaving soon

Cant believe we are leaving Friday already for Disney World. I haven't been since I was 19. Wow!! A loooong time ago. Lol

Now it's crazy you need go make reservations months in advance. I have been trying to get Chef Mickeys reservations for months and nothing. You think I have a chance as it gets closer? Any other charector in MK I should try? We will be there Saturday ans Tuesday. Already have something at Epcot and Hollywood Studios.
It's all boys so no princess stuff and they're not into Winnie the Pooh either.

Ok... Packing question. I figured pretty much tanktops and shorts everyday with sneakers for myself and the kids? I still want to look good, but be comfy.
I am packing flip flops, but most likely won't wear them. Thoughts?
I am packing crocs for the boys too.
When going on rides I figured there's a place for strollers, but what do you do with bags? I plan on brining a backpack to the park each day with change of clothes in case, wipes, diapers for my 2 yr old, snacks, panchos, etc. Where do you put those stuff for rides?
I am taking my double for my 2 and 4 yr old. My 4 yr old usually walks, but I figured it's a lot of walking and he does get lazy. Hoping they may nap once in a while, but who knows.
Just got my pass at Disney Store today. Do they put your name on the card or anything? We have kids under 3 so does that information go on the tickets?
Thanks! I know it's silly, but trying to cover my bases. We live by Great Adventure and go a lot. Not sure why Disney stresses me. Lol

I'd put all those diapers & wipes in a plastic bag in your stroller. People may think a backpack has $. Just carry cash $ a credit card. Personally, I brought my purse (but didn't go on crazy rides with my 1 and 3 yr old).

I'd bring a pair of pants & a sweater per person for the trip. You never know. I usually wear those cloths the day going down & heading up.

Dont stress the character meals. We got be our guest with beast 2 hours before dinner. It was good, but wouldn't have killed me if we didn't get it.

Bring a bathing suit to the parks for the kids. They have splash zones that are fun. We had stripped down our kids to diapers and underwear... I'm sure we would have been scolded if caught!

Bring sunscreen!

I always leave our bags in the stroller and take out my small cross body bag. Most people aren't going to steal your stuff. Has never happened to me, and we have went a dozen times.

Under 3 just goes through the gates with you. No special ticket. Write your names on your tickets to keep track of who used one though since you have to do the biometric scan. Makes it quicker when you know who has which ticket.

I would try for Chef Mickey's everyday until you get there and even try while there. The cancellation is 24 hours. So stuff does open up.

Have fun!!

I brought my backpack with me on most rides but, like a pp stated - I put most of the diapers/change of clothes in a plastic bag in the stroller - I just had my wallet, phone and a diaper with me.

I would also bring pants and a sweater/sweatshirt just in case.

Definitely write your names on the cards - we got ours mixed up.

The week before we went I was able to find a time for breakfast at Chef Mickeys every day. It's not in the Magic Kingdom - it's in the Contempory Hotel right outside the MK. We didn't do any character meals in the MK since my kids don't know Pooh or aren't into princesses. Another good character meal is at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom if you are looking for a meal with Mickey, Donald, Goofy and Daisy. My son enjoyed it.

Re: More Disney questions... Leaving soon

During our last trip, we just took our room cards and no wallet/purse. we took a plastic bag with diapers, wipes and ponchos. the only thing we'd take with us was the camera. everything else we left in the stroller.

We saw some families with the test Disney bands. I can't wait for them to go live for all.

the prior time we went, we took a backpack. when we parked the stroller, sometimes we'd leave it hanging on the stroller and other times we'd take it with us on the ride. we obviously left no valuables in the backpack if we left it on the stroller.

eta: I also spent a lot of time checking back for a chef mickey's reservation. it was fine but nothing amazing. you are not missing much.

You may want to check for ohana or cape may. they had much more availability than chef mickeys for breakfast.

We keep diapers/wipes in the bag and the stroller - we found that sometimes we were without one or the other and needed supplies! We take the bag on rides - no way would I remember to take a bag out of it every time we left the stroller. I would never leave a bag in the stroller, and it surprises me that so many do.

Write your name on the ticket. The under 2s don't worry about. They will just let the stroller through the gate.

The only character meals in MK are princesses and Pooh, so you are out of luck there :( But you will get to meet every character you want if you try, so no worries!

Have a great trip!!
