Single Umbilical Artery
Hi Everyone- At our 20 week sonogram we found out our baby has an umbilical cord with only one artery and one vein (as opposed to two arteries and one vein). We have been trying to stay as positive as possible, but when looking into it further the possibilities are pretty scary. As far as we have been told, the baby's heart and kidneys look good and our nuchal fold test came back with 1 in 10,000 chance. Does anyone have an experience with this? I know we have to go for growth sonos every 3-4 weeks and at our next appointment they are doing an echocardiogram on the baby. Thanks!

My first DS had this. We got a few more sonos to monitor growth. He was born 9.4 and completely healthy.

Yes, my second son had this and was born perfectly fine and healthy! I went in more frequently for growth sonos but all went well.
