Trisomy 16
I got the results back from my D&C- and it was Trisomy 16. Kreiner said its random and can happen to anyone. I did have the kareotyping done as part of the RLP and everything came out normal.
Now I'm unsure if I want to do 25 vials of blood for autoimmune testing- I'm very confused. Kreiner had told me when we met a few weeks ago that he found the first 2 early losses were b/c of the lag in my lining/low progesterone, and that this one may just be random- and that I could get pregnant again with the Crinone and everything will be fine.
I definitely want to get a second opinion- but I don't know if I want to jump into all the autoimmune testing based on the new knowledge I received.
Thoughts/Advice/HELP?!

Honestly, it's just bloodwork. If it were me (and it once was) I would opt to get the testing done just so you have more info and could hopefully avoid another loss. I know I wouldn't want to chance having another problem and then finding out after that I could have prevented it, had I gotten the bloodwork done sooner and treating the issues. If you find out there are no issues, GREAT! There's no downside to just a little extra info.

Oh ok- do you know how many viles it'll be? I had a very bad experience during the RLP as I nearly fainted, so I'm a bit anxious about going through it again. This will be 25 viles - which is rather shocking since I already got 25 for the RPL.

Don't forget 25 vials doesn't mean 25 BIG vials. Some are small. It's still significantly less than people give when donating blood. For some reason knowing that made me feel better.
Eta: what also made me feel better was telling myself how I one day hoped to give birth so a stinky blood test was nothing in comparison and having had a csection 8 weeks ago, I can tell you the bloodwork was a cakewalk!

Re: Trisomy 16
My very 1st loss was due to Trisomy 16. I had two more losses before I switched Drs to have a complete work up. The first Dr, didn't think they were related but 3 consecutive miscarriages is not "bad luck." Any tests that lead to more understanding or knowledge of your health, your body, is worth it. And FTR, I did pass out while doing the panel! I even was dreaming. I mention it to the lab tech or nurse and I usually lay down in the lounge chair for it. Sometimes they can be separated too, ask your Dr.

Thank you soooo much , this is extremely helpful. Did you find out what caused the other miscarriages??

Tell them you need to lay down. Also listen to your ipod during to distract yourself. Drink OJ before hand.
You will be fine. I had Dr Bs RLP testing done twice.
