Anyone's DC have Coxsackie twice ?
Dd had it bad last October from daycare. Well, here we are a year later and daycare just sent a letter home today that her classmate has it.
DD had 101-102 fever last sun, mon, tues. kept her home mon/tues. now that I got that letter today, I'm thinking maybe it wasn't just a fever virus, but symptoms of Coxsackie. She currently has no mouth sores or any on body, hands/feet. She's acting ok and eating as of wed, thurs, today. Tonight she had low fever 99.9
Anyone's DC get this multiple times???

Anyone's DC have Coxsackie twice ?
Mine haven't but, my boss's son has. He learned (the hard way) that it's something you can get more than once.

You can definitely get it more than once. DD had it twice in one month recently. It's not like chicken pox etc.

DD got it on her first and second birthday ( not looking forward to her third lol ). The second time it was much milder

Yup, that's what I'm thinking - that she has iit, just milder.
The first time was pretty awful.

Yes definitely something you can get twice. If I remember correctly my peds told me there were 17 strands. My triplets all had it when they were one and then got it again this summer when they were two. It was equally horrible both time. High fevers for 5 days, sores in the mouth, ugghhh I am hoping we get a few years off before getting it again.
