First trimester blood tests?
So I had blood tests done recently at my obgyn- I'm currently 11 weeks pregnant. I know they were testing for downs, cystic fibrosis and few other things. The office called me today to ask me to come in tomorrow to go over results and to get more bloodwork done. Is this normal? I am extremely nervous that something is wrong.

First trimester blood tests?
Every practice has their own procedures so this may be standard for your doctor's office. My genetic counselor gave me my results over the phone but DH and I met with her the day I had my blood drawn and she reviewed the tests I was having done with us, took a detailed family history and discussed potential genetic disorders, inheritance patterns and testing options.
Try not to be nervous.

I had all my genetic testing done at my RE. All I needed first trimester was prenatal and the test done by a finger prick at 12 & 16 weeks.
