Huntington Hospital
The Obgyn I am looking at switching to delivers out of Huntington Hospital. Does anyone have any information about orexperience with their L&D, Maternity, etc depts? TIA!

Huntington Hospital
I delivered there in June and loved our experience. L&d nurses were great and when I was ready for the epidural I barely waited unlike the busier hospitals. We had a double room with no roommate in maternity so hubby had his own bed. Dd was in our room the whole time. Great experience there.

My sister and SIL have both delivered all of their children there (6 kids in all!) and have nothing but good things to say.
I'm set to have my c-section there on Tues. So far everyone I've come into contact with on the tour and over the phone has been great.

Thanks Ladies! My mother had some very bad experiences there many years ago and is making me nervous about using that hospital - but her experienes were 30 years ago so I have to venture to guess things have changed (be it for better or for worse). If anyone else has experiences please continue to share - it is so helpful!

Huntington Hospital
Don't be nervous. When I got pregnant our neighbor said not to go there bc they didn't have and NICU. At least at the time she was there 7-8 years ago they didn't. The hospital has since been taken over by north shore lij and is a great hospital.

Would you guys mind sharing what doctors you go to? I need to find a new doctor and one not affiliated with Stonybrook because of insurance reasons.

I delivered there almost 3 years ago and will deliver this baby there in Dec/Jan. I have nothing but good things to say. The staff was great. I see Dr. Scanlon with North Shore Medical Group. He is also chief of OB-Gyn at the hospital. There are three female docs in the practice and they all seem great.

I delivered there 3.5 years ago and they were great! no complaints at all!
I see Dr Schneider at North Shore medical group...same group as scanlon (although i heard he doesnt do OB work anymore...). All the woman in that practice are great!

He does! I've been seeing him this whole pregnancy. He just isn't in the office FT anymore so it can be hard to get an appt. Fortunately, I've had no issues. He still delivers but I know the likelihood of me getting him is slim. Last time I had to be induced so was able to schedule on his day.

My sister and I both delivered at HH. Best experience ever.
We were also born at that hospital!
I also go to North Shore Medical Group. Love them.

I delivered Dd there in,09 and DS there in '11. Pg again and will go to Huntington again. I had a great experience both times. Loved all the nurses. My doctors are Dr. Wagner and Dr. Goldman.

Thanks so much everyone! This is really helpful! Funny enough I hadn't asked about the specific doc but the doc I'm looking at is NorthShore Medical Group so it's really helpful that you added info on that as well!
