Christening gown question for moms of 2 or more girls

Did you reuse 1st dd's dress for 2nd dd? Although I love the look of my dd's dress, it was very poofy and itchy and I wanted something a little longer and more simple for my little one. However, I feel guilty for not using the dress again for nostalgic reasons.

I did use the same one especially because my mom made it. But it would have had zero sentimental value to me if I would have purchased it from the store. In fact, if you do buy a new one, it's probably easier to give them each their own one as adults.

I'm not planning to have #2 use #1's Communion dress...

Yes, they wore the same dress. But it was also the dress my sister and I wore.

My friend has two girls and she wanted each girl to have their own dress - to possibly pass along some day to their daughters.

I have two boys and they wore the same outfit (even though it was a little roomy on DS 2).

Each girl had their own.

If it was already passed down then I can see it or if it was $$$$$ but I feel dd2 gets jipped a lot so I wanted her to have a new dress. I will save them for them to pass on if they wish. Both dresses were around $50 so I didn't feel to bad. This was somewhat of an issue with dh b/c he said it should be shared.

Absolutely! I spent enough money on it and I loved it so much - I wanted to get my money's worth! And it is so nice to have their pictures sided by side in the same outfit!!

They wore the same dress. I loved the dress and it cost a nice chunk of change so I def reused it.
