Question about your due date being changed?
This is more for BTDT moms, but I suppose if anyone has any insight it would be interesting...
If you doctor changed your due date forward or backward, did you give birth closer to the original date or the adjusted date?
For instance, my due date based on my LMP was Nov 25th but after my 8 weeks sono, she pushed it back to Dec 1st. (I did not use OPK's or know when I O'd.) Ever since then, I keep hearing stories from women who say that they gave birth closer to their original due date, so I was curious to hear any feedback from you ladies.

Re: Question about your due date being changed?
I can't remember with my first, honestly. I just know I delivered 4 days past my due date. With my second, based on my LMP, I should have been due November 18th. When I went for my first sono, the doc said my due date would be Nov. 24th. I ended up delivered 9 days later on December 3rd!!
This time around, when I went for my first sono, I was measuring a week behind where I was calculated to be based on LMP. Since it was so early, I went back 2 weeks later for another sono and I was measuring somewhere in between my LMP calculations and what they saw at my first sono. So, I'm only due about 3 or 4 days later than my LMP would suggest. I'm only 10 weeks now so we'll see what happens!

Question about your due date being changed?
I was just talking about this with my ob last night bc she said she doesn't change due dates. From what she said every sono will show a day a few days off-- but just bc a baby is measuring big-- doesn't mean the due date should be changed bc their organs aren't developed- they're just bigger.. I was curious bc every sono I have had has a different due date and they're all sooner than my original

Re: Question about your due date being changed?
With dd I started with May 8, they moved me to April 30, and I delivered April 26.
My doctor said any date given is +/-4 days so they're never completely accurate.

Re: Question about your due date being changed?
Crashing - Based on my LMP, my due date was June 17th. Then, after my first sono, dr. changed my due date to June 23rd. She was born on June 16th.

Re: Question about your due date being changed?
Lot of interesting input. I guess that's why it's called an ESTIMATED due date lol
I can't help but feel that the baby ultimately decides when they want to come, give or take a week or so in the either direction! I guess I'm just trying to get myself prepared and overcome that fear of the unknown for when they baby will come!
