Oh My God
ok, so just got a call that MIL needs to leave the crappy studio apt that she's been living in - which is good news. The bad, scary, holy S&*T news is that now she wants to BUY a place - which isn't going to happen in the 30 days that she needs to be out (it's in a house and the owner needs the space for her mother). So, since SIL lives in Boston, two guesses where she's going to be moving. I tried to have a conversation with DH before he spoke to her, but of course that didn't happen, and he already offered our place for a bit. I tried to just say that we need to make it abundantly clear to her that it would be a TEMPORARY solution, NOT permanent. MIL is not the most decisive person and has been on the fence about buying something for a few years... I could see this process lasting years until she's too old to buy something on her own (she's already 63, in great health with parents well into their 90's living on their own, but still). With everything else that is going on, she doesn't even know that we're TTC or about the losses... how are we supposed to TTC and deal with going to all the doctors I'll need to....
Sorry to vent so much but I'm on the verge of a complete nervous breakdown that developed in a matter of 20 minutes.

I just pulled up 2 neighborhoods, but I really don't think she understands how much a condo costs - what she thinks she has to play with will not get her much. And there is no way in any earth, heaven or other place that I can live with her for any extended period of time. Quit smoking? thinking of picking it back up again..... Diet? how about ice cream every night.... TTC? LOL, that's laughable, I don't know if DH would even be able to perform knowing she was in our house.

He knows this is one thing I'm very adamant about, and honestly, I'll move out if it comes to that and he can deal with THAT. He always brings up that we lived with MY mom for 3 months - but that was in HER house because HE didn't want to go month to month in our apt while WE were in contract to close on our house, and WE made DAMN sure that it was temporary (because trust me, living with MY mom is no easy task). But again, BIG difference, there was a time frame already designated before we made the move, I just pray that he gets it (I'm sure he does).

Sorry you are going through this. Maybe you can try something like yoga for stress?
