Re: Moms of girls 3 and up (even teenagers lol) need advice!
This is definitely not a boy vs girl thing. There are a lot of boys who are very similar to your DD, and there are a lot of girls who are very similar to your DS. I don't have any advice, other than you don't want to limit your possible advice by not asking moms of boys who have also been through similar situations.

Aw, she is sensitive. I am not in your situation, but I am thinking tell her to forget about the other kids. Maybe, teach her that what other kids say about her doesn't matter. You know she is amazing and that's it. It sounds like her reaction is defending herself. At least she is being expressive and not bottling it up.

Re: Moms of girls 3 and up (even teenagers lol) need advice!
I am seeing similar things with my 3.5 year old too. There is this one girl she plays with at the park a lot. If the girl has another friend one day she tells DD "I'm not playing with you today, go away." They are 3.5 and need guidance on proper behavior, so I (or our nanny if I'm at work) always interject by saying "everyone can play together and if you don't want to you don't say things that could make someone sad" etc etc. The other mom never corrects her daughter which should annoy me but I just take people for who they are.
My DD will get upset but still follow the girls around which rips my heart out. Then she'll laugh about it later on.."Sofia didn't want to play with me today! She's so silly." (God I love this kid.)
I hate this crap and I do agree with the PP that it's not just a girl thing (at least not at this age). I see boys treating other boys the same way and it kills me. But alas, we all went through this bc kids will be kids. The most I/we can do is reiterate to our DC that you don't want to make other people feel hurt. The fact that your DD is so sensitive is a GREAT thing. I'd rather they be the sensitive kid that gets sad than the mean kid on the playground.
