FastPass +
We will be heading to Disney in Dec. and I am hoping this program will be in place by then. Would love to pre-book fast passes before going.
Anyone experience this program as part of their trials?

Hello!
I just tested the program personally on my trip this past week and have also helped several of my clients who were selected to test it as well.
I'd be happy to help answer any questions you may have about the program.
I loved it. It was great to be able to change my FP times depending on mood/weather/other plans.

My friend tested it and was very happy with it! It sounds really neat, I hope they eventually make it available to those who stay offsite.

Re: FastPass +
yes, we tested it in July.
We also got to tag along on a Castmember only rollout of some phases of it with SIL and BIL which was very cool even if it was annoying.
We had a couple of glitches with the system, but overall, it was a smooth operation. I don't know if I'm a fan of all of that scheduling on a vacation though. Sometimes, I just like to wing it. Thankfully, that won't be an issue since with the exception of this July's trip, we usually avoid peak Disney times.
The castmember rollout was not so smooth. However, SIL has assured me that most of the glitches have been worked out.

Do you know when they expect it to be available for all staying on site. We are staying at Value resort early Dec. I am a planner so the ability to pre plan popular attractions sounds awesome.

Some bits of my SIL's response:
we were hoping to have it fully implemented by summer of 2013. Obv, that didn’t happen. It's a HUGE project and we need to make sure when it goes 100% live, it works. Pop Century, the Yacht Club, the Animal Kingdom Lodge, and the Contemporary Resort have been testing since July/Aug. These four will continue the test through the end of this month, and Art of Animation, the Beach Club, Polynesian, and Port Orleans Riverside have been added. The rest of the Disney resorts are being added in waves starting in October. Sorry to tell you that DVCers are causing some issues for us - LOL. Fingers crossed over here that we will be fully operational (all phases including the new DAS and some really neat features that I can’t tell you about yet) by early spring.

Re: FastPass +
Hoping to hear a lot more reviews. I like being able to pick somethings in advance but think in the end I will be disappointed. In the past we usually got more than 3 FPs in a day. Additionally we are park hoppers which is a second strike for us. I think the testers are getting a good deal since they can double dip for now (use both fp+ and old FP system). It is nice to have 3 guaranteed picks but correct me if I am wrong you cannot get say 2in MK and one in EPCOT with the new system. I think it will put families who need to be more flexible at a disadvantaged.
Please post some more personal experiences!

We were magicband testers on our august trip and I have to say it was the most calm and relaxing vacation we have had in Disney. It was nice knowing we had fastpasses for the bigger rides already secured and we didn't need to be there for rope drop. We were able to double dip but the only place we did so was Magic Kingdom, hopefully Disney will realize that 3 fastpasses a day is just not enough. I was able to easily shift times and attractions while in the park as well. All in all I really enjoyed it!
ETA: Constantly check the Disney site and check if you can make fast pass selections. I had my fastpasses picked out and my magic bands in hand two weeks before Disney even notified me I was a tester, don't wait for Disney to notify you keep trying.

Looks like I will miss the testing. Thanks for getting so much info!

They should contact you before your trip, but you can log on and see for yourself. They won't inform you until a few weeks before. Almost every resort will be part of the program by the end of Oct, so you probably can do it.
I think what you quoted means that it ALL will be done by spring - every little part, not just this section of it. The whole wristband thing is expected to be resort wide by Dec 1.
A list of resorts is here: http://www.wdwmagic.com/other/mymagicplus/news/16sep2013-mymagic-expanding-to-more-resorts-in-september-and-october.htm
And we are going in early Dec and can't get them yet. From what DH has heard, very few (if any) people with Dec trips booked have been able to get the bands
