I am 14w 2d with my 2nd child. All day today I am feeling what seems like fluttering. It has been on and off all day and always in the exact same spot. I haf anterior placents with dd #1 so I didnt feel her till much further along. Is it possible I am feeling baby this early this time around?

Could I really be feeling the baby already
It is common for those who already have children to feel #2+ earlier.

Could I really be feeling the baby already
I started feeling flutters around 14 weeks with my second. It's very common to feel it earlier the 2nd time or more.

I felt them early on with this pregnancy - probably around the same time as you are feeling them.
I think its because you know what you are feeling the second time - you been there, done that. You know what to look for.

Re: Could I really be feeling the baby already
With my second I felt flutters as early as 9 weeks. It was confirmed by my obgyn when I used the doppler to pinpoint exactly where she was on my tummy so it is completely possible to feel them at 14 weeks.

Re: Could I really be feeling the baby already
With #2, my DS, I actually felt flutters at 12 weeks......................with my DD (#1) I didn't feel them until like 17-18 weeks. So, it's possible!!

wow good to know. i could have sworn i felt flutters earlier this week. only one day...but it def felt like the flutters i had with ds#1 and not gas or anything. I told hubby and he thought i was crazy (so did i honestly) because i was only 9 weeks. I knew it was possible to feel it early but thought i had a few more weeks.
