Questions?
We have all had adults at some point ask the incredibly rude question of why don't you have kids or when are you going to start a family. I have had my share and we all have comebacks that put people who are asking back into their place. Adults should know better when to ask.. What if a child asks the same question, how come you don't have any kids? This question was asked to me over the summer from my friends 8 yr old daughter. I had no fricken clue as to what to say. Luckily her mom stepped in and told her to not ask that question because its rude. What would you girls respond to a child that clearly knows nothing of infertility let alone how a baby is made?

Re: Questions?
The stork can't find our address??
In all seriousness, I would probably just say we want a baby, but just don't have one yet. And hopefully leave it like that. It's difficult with children, especially if you're unsure if their parents have had that talk with them yet. I haven't encountered that yet, but I would most likely go that route.

Questions?
I never had a child ask me but a funny light ratted answer would probably get them to move on. Kids have short attention spans so a stork comment would work probably.
I never get upset at the baby questions. I was very open and honest about my journey so I guess that makes a bit of a difference. I figured if I talked about it maybe it could help someone else down the road.

This is me too - there are so many women on this site in this section alone. Thankfully it's a revolving door because many move on to the pregnancy board. How do I know that the person asking the question (be it man or woman) couldn't benefit from hearing my story? Plus, it's kinda cathartic for me, talking about it definitely helps.

To add - I like that stork comment! I think I'll use it!

Questions?
My students ask me ALL the time. I fluctuate between - A-I have you guys! and B-Eventually! I can't be mad at their curiosity. Adults are a different story.

Questions?
If an adult or kid asked me when I plan on having more, my answer would be always "whenever God decides to bless me with another one!"
I've never had a child ask me, I've said this to numerous adults before, but a child never asked. The adults usually smile and say "ill keep you in my prayers" or "fingers crossed" or something like that
