For me, it is vacations from my childhood...we went somewhere out in the western US camping each summer...Tetons, Yellowstone, Rocky Mountains, Grand Canyon, etc.

Re: Family Vacations
My parents drove us cross country for 6 weeks when I was 12. That was one of my most memorable vacations. For now, it was going on a cruise with our entire family. It was really nice spending time with one another. And then our most recent one to California - which was a lot of fun too.

Re: Family Vacations
I have to say our recent vacation to Disney was by far the best vacation ever. Maybe it was because my girls eyes lit up everytime they saw a princess. I also loved that we were out and about everyday and not stuck in one place. My mother always took us to DR but we were stuck in a hotel for 4-5 days doing the same thing over and over. Next year we are doing the Disney cruise.

I would love to go cross county but I want my girls to be much older for this.

Re: Family Vacations
We didn't really go on vacation when I was little, so sadly I have no really good memories of family vacations. We did go to Toronto once. I got on the subway when the rest of my family didn't. That was fun, not lol
As far as with my own family. Clearwater and visiting Winter at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. Winter is my DD's favorite, so she really enjoyed that. Sadly one of Winter's dolphin friends (Panama) passed away this week, who was also another one of my DD's favorites after visiting the aquarium. So I think that will always be a special place to us.
Disney is always memorable, and we just did the Disney Cruise. Camping was another one, we all really enjoyed that.

Re: Family Vacations
My family didn't do a lot of vacations. We traveled for holidays to see family since my family was spread out. usually to Ohio and Georgia. But we did do some amusement park vacations growing up. They were great! we did Busch Gardens, Kings Island, Kings Dominion, and Cedar park.

Re: Family Vacations
I was very blessed as a kid that we took lots of family trips. To be honest, the majority of my good memories of my dad are from family trips. My dad worked a ton, so it was a real treat when he took time off and we were all together. When I was really young my memories are about the dude ranch. We went every summer and just loved it! Then as we got older, lots of Florida trips, and then as teens we went o Mexico a lot. All memories that I will always treasure.

Re: Family Vacations
As a child, our vacations to Yellowstone, Rocky Mtns, Badlands and Oregon were my most memorable. We want to take our kids on an long RV trip to tour Western US when they are older.
With my (young) family, Disney at Halloween was our most memorable. Truly magical!

Family Vacations
We took a lot of trips growing up. Of course the Disney trips always had a special place in my heart but we also had amazing times in Ocean City, Lake George, and Lake Placid. One of my favorite trips was to Niagra Falls. We had a lot of fun that trip and it was my first time out of the country.
