Coloring Hair
I am almost at the 20 week mark and I can not even begin to tell you the amount of gray hair I have LOL
Im curious to see how many of you colored your hair being pregnant.
For some reason, I am just so paranoid to do it

I did with my first and am planning to go once I'm done with the first trimester this time around. If you're really concerned either try to find a place that does natural dyes (and pay way way extra of course) or just do highlights where they don't touch the roots.

i did it the whole time with both pregnancies.
the amount of chemicals that get absorbed thru your skin is so small and they havent been able to link hair dye having any neg effects on pregnancy.
the way i see it ~ if i have to get big, and huge & uncomfy ~ im doing it with pretty hair!

I didn't color with my first but this time I had highlights that were getting too light so I just low lighted my hair a few weeks ago.

Did it the whole time.
Did it before I knew I was pregnant.
I can't imagine that much harmful stuff being absorbed through your skin.
If you were drinking the dye, maybe.

I did after the first trimester with DS. I think AmericanPregnancy.org recommends semi-perm dyes in the first trimester, which is what I did, but says it is safe to use regular dye after first tri! Go get rid of those grays, girl!

I usually just get the glaze which is a color conditioner that washes out after 24 shampoos. It has no harsh chemicals or peroxide. Mention pregnancy to your hairdressr & they will know what to do.
