What do you have on the walls?
In your DC's big kid room? We have DD's furniture all on one side of her room and her bed on the other side. Her name is above the furniture since it wouldn't fit above her bed. Looking for something for the wall next to her bed - what kid of art do you have and where did you get it? Thanks!

I have the wall art that came with her crib bedding set (it's just 3 pictures with flowers and butterflies on it). I also have a large tree decal over her bed with some additional decals like some flowers and clouds around the room. And I have butterfly decals around her door. I LOVE DDs room. It is by far my favorite room in the house  (obviously because I decorated it  )
eta: I purchased the decals through amazon because they had the best price. I believe these are the butterflies I have:

The best thing about them is that you can take them off when you (or she) feels like changing it up a bit.

how about her handprints?
We went to a vendor where they drew an animal out of her handprints. I believe a ladybug for DD1 and butterfly for DD2. It's cute because it can decorate their room and keeping handprints as memory!

we got ours done when we went to Sesame Pl. Looking to see if some of the people at the mall can do it too.

DS has a "nautical" theme room. We have a chair rail so the bottom is a nautical blue and the top is a beige. We got a life saver with his name hanging, I had a caricature do a picture of him on a boat so that's up, an anchor and of course his desk and hutch are big and take up a lot of room too. On the hutch are the books, photos, and other stuff. Lots of nautical trinkets. LOL
Got a lot at Xmas Tree shops.

My cousin is a fine artist whose work sells in major galleries and she made us a piece of art when my son was born. I also have a lithograph that was mine as a child. DD made a beautiful flower painting using a chrysanthemum and paint over the summer. She dipped the flower into multiple paint colors and then painted each layer onto itself. I framed it and have it hanging in her room. DD will be 4 soon.
