Head cold from FluMist?
My 4 yr old DS got the FluMist on Thurs afternoon and woke up today with a head cold. He's pretty miserable. Has this happened to anyone else's DC? Just wondering how long it will last and my ped's office is closed already.

Re: Head cold from FluMist?
My DS has been receiving the Flumist for the last 5 years (since he is 2) and has never been sick from it. He may have been congested but I don't think it was from the Flumist, I think it is seasonal allergies. My kids didn't get it yet and my son is a mess today. It may be coincidental.

Re: Head cold from FluMist?
I don't do the spray because it can give congestion as well as other symtoms.
From webmd.. Some side effects may occur with FluMist, including a runny nose, headache, wheezing, vomiting, muscle aches, and fever in children. In adults, side effects may include a runny nose, headache, sore throat, and cough.
...Not sure a bad head cold but the above are some of the side effects.
