Holiday dresses
When do stores start putting out the holiday dresses and outfits? Are they out now? I want to book a holiday mini session but most photographers do it so early, like the first weekend in Nov, some even the last weekend of Oct! I don't know if I would be able to find dd a Christmas dress by then! That's the only thing holding me back from booking...

Holiday dresses are usually out by early October. Some BTDT advice, if you see something you want get it immediately. The dresses are generally not available by mid November, and there is almost nothing left by December.

ITA! Even if I don't love something I get it and keep receipts in case I find something I like better better.

ITA! Even if I don't love something I get it and keep receipts in case I find something I like better better.
I found this out the hard way 2 years ago. It's really pathetic and crazy but you do have to buy early.

I got a cute Christmas dress for my four month old daughter on Macy's.com. It was a great price. I'm still searching for.a cute outfit for my son. A photographer I spoke to said that she does mini sessions so early that most parents order personalized holiday pjs and they wear that for pictures.

I looked last night on line and Crazy 8, Children's Place, and the Gap all seem to have put out holiday clothing already. Janie and Jack and Gymboree did not have their clothing out yet.

My order shipped and is due to come today. But I know what you mean, I think its more like weeks than months...maybe 2 months by the time you recieve it, but that's why I shop in September for a Christmas dress! 
Luckily this order shipped rather quickly bc I want to take Dds Christmas pics ASAP so I can be ready for a good deal on Shutterfly to make cards! Lol.
