Washington DC....the must do's
My DH won an all expense paid weekend to Washington DC for work. We are staying at the Mandarin Oriental. We get there on a Friday morning and leave Sunday afternoon. What are the must hav's to do? Even though he won it through work, we do what we want.
Also, any nice romantic restaurant recommendations?
We will be kid-free. Looking forward to some quality time with DH.

are you into all the site seeing stuff? The monuments? Visit the smithsonian. I haven't been in DC for a while; but always loved Dupont Circle for shopping. Unio

Re: Washington DC....the must do's
The monuments at night when they're all lit up is super romantic
I also really enjoyed Ford's Theater and the house that Lincoln died in...it was just kind of cool to see.
Dupont's Circle for shopping.
If you can get tickets early enough, you can try to do a tour of Congress and the House of Representatives. I think you can also try to do a tour of the White House as well, but if I recall it's very hard to get tickets. I went years ago and I'm not even positive they do the tours anymore, but you can check the website.
