S/O to baby naming - food

We are having DD's baby naming in a month at the temple. The service is at 1 and lunch will be at the temple afterward. Do you think people would prefer bagels or wraps? Any other exciting suggestions? Doesn't have to be kosher, but I want to keep it kosher style. Thanks!

I'd vote bagels. That's traditional for a baby naming or bris.

I did bagels, variety of cream cheese, salads - whitefish, tuna, salmon, egg- lox, fruit, cake. Typical but who doesn't love a bagel and lox :)

I think people would prefer bagels but you could do both. We ordered from Bagel Boss and they did a great job ( we did the usual bagels, cream cheese, lox, egg salad, tuna, fruit and also ordered some big cranberry salad). You could cut back on the bagels and do wraps too. They can also can do the dessert but we just went to costco for the cake and got rainbow cookies and black and whites there also and then put them out on platters. One thing they have at Bagel Boss that we didnt get but Ive seen at a couple of Bris's is a huge black and white cookie (but blue and white for a boy) that says Congratulations or Mazel Tov on it. Im sure they could do pink and white for a girl.

I went through this same debate. I think it depends on the time of day. If it's morning, then def bagels and fixing. We had DD's baby naming in the afternoon (1ish) so we did deli sandwiches. It was a big hit.

Thanks everyone. The service is at 1:00, so maybe I can just do both - get a tray of wraps and a tray of bagels!

We had a similiar debate. Rather dh was concerned about doing brunch at that time. Our service is at 12pm and immed after is brunch. Doing bagels, lox, cream cheeses, omelet station, blintzes, etc.
