Just had a consult with Dr. Braverman...
After trying for #2 for almost a year and two failed IUI's through RSofNY, I decided to go see Dr. Braverman again.
Back in 2010 when we were TTC my DD, I had a lot of testing done with Braverman and he had a plan in place but wanted me to take the month off and start his plan the following month. I ended up getting PG with DD the month we took off.
I had my CD3 appointment this morning with Braverman and he suggested IVF. I have so many mixed emotions. I have the medical coverage for it so money is not the problem. I just can't shake that I was able to get PG with DD and it is just not happening this time. My DH's sperm is perfect, so the problem is with me.
I don't want to waste any more time and Braverman had a good point. He said the IUI's are just like doing timed intercourse because there is nothing wrong with DH. So since the problem is with me it would be a waste of time to continue down the IUI road.
Any advice would be great. I start BCP today for 3 weeks along with Metformin.

Just had a consult with Dr. Braverman...
I had the same scenario with my first.
I had 2 failed IUIs and had a consult and testing with Dr B and also with a RE in the city. I decided to go forward with the Dr in the city and was just waiting on getting all the paperwork done and tests sent over to her when BAM I'm PG with my DS.
Now we are onto #2 and we decided not to see any Drs. We don't think we can handle multiples and also the stress of all the appts. Like you the problem is with me and after havign DS my OB found Endo so I now know my issue. I can get PG on my own it will just take time like it ended up taking with DS. We are willing to wait and if it never happens we are also ok with that.
I think it is more about if you are willing to take that time. Plus our bodies are completely different after having a baby so what worked once may not work again.
Can you give it a few more months just to really get your head around the process???

Thank you for sharing your story.
Ideally, I would like to just get this process going since it has already been a year and I am 35. The thought of having multiples does worry me but I can't stress about the unknown.
He is going to do some more immune testing and test my blood sugar again. I have very mild PCOS.

I get wanting to get going. I am 40 and realize that I do not have forever but the first one took a toll on me and our relationship we decided we are just going with it this time.
If you think you would feel better getting the process started then why wait. Since you have the medical coverage then i say go for it.

Just make sure your insurance will cover IVF without a prerequisite. I was told to go straight, but GHI will only cover it after six iui's. good luck!!
